Freedom, is what all population of countries want, but the Egyptians in 2011 and the colonist of1776 wanted it most. What are the different similarities between the Declaration of Independence and the 2011 Egyptian Revolution?The Colonists of 1776 and Egyptians of 2011 had many similarities for starting their own revolution. The Colonists were fighting for their beliefs in freedom and independence. This included many things like, democracy, freedom of religion and above all, government representation. The Colonist organized themselves and spread the word of revolution in many ways; by public speeches as Patrick Henry once said, “give me liberty or give me death”, demonstrations (Boston Tea Party of 1773) and the start of a new Congress. During the revolutionary war the Colonists signed the Declaration of Independence. The Colonist’s received help from France and Spain and were victorious by October 1781 and finally, the Colonists got their freedom. Likewise the Egyptians were also fighting for freedom and they had many issues such as no freedom of expression, no free elections, no free speech and religion and just like the Colonists they wished for a new government and ruler. Additionally, the Egyptian people fought by protesting and demanding to be heard by large non-violent demonstrations. The Egyptians handed out information to gather support and help their cause. They also used the Internet to spread the word throughout the country. The Egyptians continued to protest until Mubarak eventually gave in to their demands and as a result, Mubarak stepped down and that is wen Egypt gained their freedom. Not only did the Colonists protest towards their leader,King George lll of 1776, but also the Egyptian protested towards their leader, Hosni Mubarak of 2011. The leaders are who make all the laws and decide many things. The Americans created a declaration of independence to the King of England, in 1776. That stated that freedom and justice is important. King George was taxing the Americans, but the Americans were not following the rules. They started marching for freedom. What the Egyptians in 2011 did was they got on the streets and did the old fashion street protest. The Egyptians went to Mubarak’s residence and made a very big protest. In the early 1776 the American colonies wanted Independence. However so did the Egyptians in 2011.Furthermore they both fought for Independence with support of other nations or certain big movement groups.On January 25,2011 Tuesday Egyptians were protesting or revolting against there ruler or leader also in 1776 the Americans fought for there Independence and got support from the French. Additionally the French gave the Americans guns for the war and they helped train the army to prepare for war and got more soldiers to build up the army.Furthermore the Egyptians also got support from a very big and old movement group called the “Muslim Brotherhood”. It was very popular in the Arab states for the Islamists. Furthermore what was a big advantage for the Americans and the Egyptians and that's one of the reasons why they won there Independence.
From Egyptians of 2011 protesting to their government. To the French helping the colonists of 1776 win the revolution, and all the public speeches to help gain courage for the colonists of 1776, and the Egyptians of 2011, both of these countries fought for freedom for their country.
